What Mr Fothergill's says
High quality with a sweet nutty flavour. Good resistance to bolting and cracking of roots. Kohl Rabi may look like a vegetable from outer space, but it is easy to grown and quite delicious! Eat the swollen stems, which are best harvested when no bigger than a cricket ball.
