What Mr Fothergill's says
A softneck variety from Mersley Farm on the Isle of Wight, originating in the Auvergne region of France. Larger cloves and strong vigour, outperforming many other softnecks; descended from stock including the original Solent Wight but with bigger bulbs. Excellent storage, lasting until June of the year after harvest. Suited to late autumn or early winter planting, or spring planting. Sourced from The Garlic Farm, certified disease and virus free. Easy to grow, including in pots on a patio. Pack of 2 bulbs.
